Halloween Food

Remember the anticipation that led up to Halloween when you were a child? While the costumes, crafts and activities are of course awesome, the biggest thing most kids are excited about is the Halloween treats!

Make sure to provide a few heartier food options so that their tummies aren’t just filled with sugar. Here are a few easy ideas that require minimal prep:

  • Fruit and veggie platter with dip
  • Cheese and crackers
  • Pizza

You can also take this up a notch by creating Halloween themed finger food, like these easy Frankenstein Halloween Pretzel Rods, Mummy Halloween Brownies or Mini Mummy Pizzas!

And of course, you don’t want to forget the sweet treats. From cupcakes and cookies to Halloween candy favorites like candy corn, chocolate and hard candy, the options are endless for your food table.

Halloween Party Activities

The key to a great Halloween classroom party is a wide range of crafts and activities for the kids. It’s a good idea to start your Halloween party with an interactive activity for everyone, like a Halloween costume contest. Kids love showing off their costumes and cheering for their friends!

You can also create an easy haunted house they can go through. All you really need is a great spider web and a few spider rings sprinkled throughout for an easy classroom decoration. You can set up a space for an easy photo booth so the whole class can get in on Halloween pictures too.

You can easily set up stations with different Halloween games from the list below, so that kids can rotate and play as they like. Included below are also a few easy crafts and printables that each child can make while seated at a table.

Don’t forget some low-stimulation spaces for children that might need them. Halloween play dough is a great activity to have there.
