Halloween Paper Plate Monster and Mummy Crafts
I created these adorable Halloween paper plate crafts for little hands specifically. These Halloween projects are perfect for toddlers, preschoolers and elementary school kids. This craft was designed to be EASY, but also easy to customize and change up!
Supplies Needed for Paper Plate Mummy and Monster
To make these simple Halloween paper plate crafts for preschoolers, you’ll need the following supplies. Most likely you already have all of these in your home!
- Paper plates
- Paint
- Googly eyes
- Construction paper
- White streamer paper, bandage or even toilet paper
- Glue
- Paint brush
How to Make Halloween Paper Plate Crafts for Kids
Make both of these crafts in one afternoon, or save one for another day. Either way, these easy Halloween paper plate crafts are sure to make your little ones giggle as they create them. They also make a great activity for a preschool classroom, or to do during a Halloween party too!
How to Make a Paper Plate Monster
To make the paper plate monster, first cut the center out of paper plates.
Paint the ring whatever color you want.
While the paint dries, cut out shapes for the monster like hornets, spikes, teeth, spots or whatever else you think of! If your children are old enough, this is a great step for them to have artistic freedom.
Once the paint is dry on the paper plate, glue on googly eyes, teeth, spikes or whatever else to make your monster unique.
How to Make a Paper Plate Halloween Mummy
To make the paper plate mummy, start by painting the back of the small paper played with neon paint or any bright color paint.
Cut three strips of paper streamer or bandage for each mummy craft and glue them on in different directions as shown. If you don’t have streamers or bandage material, you can also use strips of toilet paper for this part.
Glue the googly eyes on top of the bandages to make the mummy’s face.
Display these Halloween paper plate monsters as cute Halloween decor for years to come. Don’t forget to write your artist’s name on the back, along with the year.
