Easy Air Fryer Potstickers and Dumplings
Easy air fryer frozen dumplings or potstickers are delicious, quick and so great for a quick meal or snack anytime.
Our family loves to cook, but some nights I’ll be honest: I’m just way too tired to put a real meal together. We have worked really hard over the past few years to not automatically default to delivery on those nights, and instead have fallen in love with homemade takeout.
One of my “comfort foods” has always been Chinese food, and I love a good dumpling. On nights where I’m pressed for time, I’ll whip up these easy air fryer potstickers with the frozen dumplings in our freezer, pair them with a little rice or noodles and have a full meal in just a few minutes.

The most important part of the entire recipe is making sure you add enough oil spray to the frozen dumplings before cooking so that they turn out nice and crispy.
If you don’t add enough oil, your air fryer potsticker will dry out and get tough, so be sure you are generous with it.
To make air fryer frozen potstickers, you first want to be sure to thoroughly coat the dumplings in oil or cooking spray. Again, this step is really important so the air fryer potstickers turn out nice and crispy!
Add the frozen dumplings to the air fryer in a single layer. Do NOT stack the dumplings or overcrowd the basket, as they won’t cook correctly this way. If necessary, cook in batches to be sure there’s enough room for the hot air to circulate.
Cook, flip, cook a bit longer and serve with soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil or your favorite dipping sauce. Top with diced green onion and sesame seeds as garnish if you’d like!
The frozen dumplings don’t need to thaw before cooking, which is one of the best parts of this easy recipe.
Keep in mind that there are several factors that go into the cooking time of this air fryer potsticker recipe. Depending on the brand you purchase and the type of dumpling, frozen dumplings can vary in thickness, size and type of filling. This can all effect how yours cook.
Different air fryers also cook in different ways, with some running much hotter than others. I always recommend that when you make a new recipe for the first time in your air fryer that you start with the shortest cook time to see how it turns out in your personal device.
Once you cook this recipe once, you’ll have a better idea of what cook time you need depending on the size of the frozen dumplings you like to purchase and the model of the air fryer you own. Tools Needed to Make Air Fryer Frozen Dumplings

We personally own this Ninja Foodie XL with 2 baskets and I’m in love. It’s big enough to put a whole chicken in one side and cook a side at the same time in the other basket!
You also need cooking spray. You can choose the type you personally like, but in our home we use a coconut oil cooking spray. Olive oil or avocado oil cooking spray also work great.
Be sure you are generous with the oil to ensure you have crispy dumplings that aren’t dried out.
