Days can get crazy fast, especially when you’re wrangling little ones AND trying to blow up balloons, clean the house and get everything ready to go. No bake recipes are a great solution when you don’t have a lot of time.

Ingredients for Patriotic Ice Cream Sandwiches
I love easy recipes, and how cute are these festive ice cream sandwiches? This is one of the simplest no bake desserts around. All you need are 2 ingredients:
Store bought ice cream sandwiches (I chose vanilla ice cream)
Red, white and blue sprinkles (if you can’t find them at your local grocery store, here are a bunch of options on Amazon)
How to Make a Patriotic Ice Cream Sandwich
The beauty of this no bake dessert is that it takes almost no time to prepare. It’s an easy one for even the littlest chefs to help with, and can also easily be prepared in advanced!
First, pour the patriotic sprinkles into a shallow bowl that’s large enough to fit an ice cream sandwich. You can also place sprinkles on a small plate.
Next, unwrap the store bought ice cream sandwiches, discarding the wrapper. Quickly dip each side of the sandwich into the dish of sprinkles. Be sure to roll edges of ice cream into the sprinkles.
You might want to go around more than once to get the amount of sprinkles you like.
THAT’S IT!
Place the completed ice cream sandwiches in an airtight container and store in the freezer until ready to serve.
You can also place the completed sandwiches on a cookie sheet covered with a sheet of parchment paper or wax paper. Then cover the entire prepared baking sheet with plastic wrap and place in the freezer.
This is a great patriotic dessert to have in your back pocket in case your day gets away from you. It’s the perfect treat for holidays and hot summer days.
