Joovy Scooter X2 Review
Joovy Scooter X2 Weight and Size
The Joovy Scooter X2 weighs 32 pounds, which is actually pretty lightweight compared to some other side by side strollers.
One of the things I was most concerned about when it came to a side by side stroller was the size. I wanted to make sure any stroller we chose could easily fit through doorways.
While the Joovy Scooter X2 feels large, it’s actually only 30 inches wide, which means it fits through standard doorways! It’s not as slim as a tandem stroller (where kids sit in a line, one seat behind the other), it still allows you to fit through doorways easily without struggling.

Joovy Scooter X2 Seats
The Joovy Scooter X2 stroller has side by side seats that allow for each seat to be reclined separately. This is a great feature for children of different ages, as it means your kids don’t always have to be in the same position.
With a draw-string type reclining mechanism, you can adjust the seats to any reclining position you or your child prefer. While the seats are able to recline a lot, Joovy does not recommend that babies ride in the regular seat until they are about 3 months old or have solid head and neck control.
With a five-point harness for safety, each seat also has a pretty high weight limit of 45 pounds each (for a total capacity of 90 pounds).
Joovy Scooter X2 Fold
The Joovy Scooter X2 features a one handed fold, which makes it a very quick and easy stroller to fold up. Despite its size, it also fits easily in most trunks (which was important for me as I drive a small sedan).
Joovy Scooter X2 Car Seat Compatibility
The Joovy Scooter X2 is NOT compatible with any car seats. If you are looking to use this stroller with a newborn, you will need to wait until the are old enough the stroller the way it is.
The Joovy Scooter X2 has a great canopy with a peekaboo window so you can easily check on your kids while you walk, and provides plenty of shade for them as well.
This stroller also has a removable bumper bar. Your kids can rest their feet on this (which my toddler seems to love!). That is one of my favorite parts of this stroller, and one of the reasons I was excited to do a Joovy Scooter X2 review.
The Scooter X2 has a large storage basket under the seats. As any parent of multiple children can tell you, that extra storage is very appreciated! Between toys, a diaper bag and anything extra you’re carrying around, having a stroller with a large basket like the Joovy Scooter X2 offers is fantastic.
It also includes 2 cupholders for parents and a zippered compartment to store your phone and keys while out and about.
Is the Joovy Scooter X2 Worth It?
This Joovy Scooter X2 Review was written by a real mom who has used this stroller for the past 6 months (aka, me!). Here are my honest thoughts.
Pros: The Joovy Scooter X2 is narrow enough to fit through standard doorways, and lightweight enough for even smaller parents to maneuver and lift. The basket allows for plenty of storage, the seats can be reclined independently and at any angle you choose, and the large canopy provides plenty of shade. It’s also an affordable side by side stroller.
Cons: The handlebar sits relatively low and isn’t adjustable, meaning if you are a tall parent this might not be the stroller for you. The location of the brake bar can also be hit with your feet easily while walking. It’s also not compatible with any car seats, so you need to wait to use this stroller until your infant has more neck control (recommended 3 months). It’s also not the best on very bumpy or uneven surfaces (like gravel, grass or off-road in general).
Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a side by side stroller on a budget, the Joovy Scooter X2 stroller provides the quality that you want at a much cheaper option than the competitors.
