It’s time to deck the halls! Use these adorable free printable Elf letter boards to make this time even more fun (and easier on you).
If your family Christmas traditions include the Elf on the Shelf, you’re not alone! So many parents choose to incorporate this into their holiday season, and it’s become one of the most beloved Christmas traditions for so many of us.
I love the excitement my kids feel when their elves come back. They literally race downstairs every day, so excited to find what their elves are up to in the morning.
I am firmly a lazy elf mom, and I have zero shame admitting that. I am a huge fan of easy ideas for the month of December! Our elves are pretty chill, and we are not a “naughty” elf or mischievous elf family.
I plain don’t have capacity to come up with beautiful, elaborate scenes every night, which is ok! The kids are just excited that the elves have moved. I love simple ideas, so last year I began make easy DIY printable elf props to help.

Fun Printable Elf Props
I love this fun Christmas tradition, and these miniature printables are so fun and easy! I love how these printable elf letter boards allow me to easily surprise my kids with a fun elf scene with zero prep needed. Just print, cut and you’re good to go!
Our family uses a lot of printables, because let’s be honest: they’re easier and faster than creating things from scratch! If you need some more fun ideas for your own little elf, don’t miss the free printable welcome letter and elf goodbye letter, too!
We use printable cards in so many creative ways. I’ve placed these printable signs with the family elf in the Christmas tree; propped outside an elf-sized sleeping bag (which is just a washcloth rolled up!); taped to a moveable elf hanging from the fan; and more!
Just add a little note to any scene to make it feel like a special elf’s visit has taken place. The inspirational photos included in this post include my kid’s own cute elf and creative ideas our family does.
This collection is a great option for a last minute scene change and are so much fun to use. I’m excited to share these with you, so that you can use them with your family, too!
